We are proud to say that we use PLAY to learn the academics! For some reason the role of play has been lost and become a dirty word. Grown-ups have forgotten how much we learn from playing.. It is a child’s job to PLAY.
Kid Angles sets the stage for your child’s feelings about school later in life. We want him or her to realize that school can be fun and interesting and something to enjoy. Learning is all around and it starts with our hands.
According to a clinical report (10/9/06) by AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS: Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development.(2-4) It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them. Play allows children to create and explore a world they can master, conquering their fears while practicing adult roles, sometimes in conjunction with other children or adult caregivers.(5-10)
Play is so important to optimal child development that it has been recognized by the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights as a right of every child. (1)
